"Very nice host, warm and welcoming. We stayed 3 nights. Overall a good value and a relaxing place to stay. Reliable internet, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Appreciated that they brought us a fruit plate of delicious mango/banana from their property.My only disappointment were the swarms of mosquitoes, and I had misunderstood that it was a free-standing studio cottage; it’s a downstairs studio below their main home. But overall we had a nice stay! "

"The host greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our space. That evening there was a cockroach in the kitchen area that went under the cabinets. The next evening the cockroach was going along the wall near the ceiling around the room. I made the host aware and never received a response. When walking outside and to the vehicle, be aware of spider webs between the trees. There are quite a few eye level that we had to duck and dodge to not hit. "

"This place boasts stunning grounds! If you're a bird watcher, you'll love spending time on the porch, soaking in the sights and sounds. A vehicle is definitely handy for exploring the nearby malls and fascinating historical sites. Inside, we enjoyed the comfort of an air conditioning unit, microwave, and a little refrigerator, all surrounded by inviting sliding glass doors that let in plenty of natural light.One tip for light sleepers: consider bringing an eye mask, as the curtains don't fully block out the morning sun. The studio may be small, but we found it to be just right for our needs, and we were genuinely happy during our stay. Our host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home, even greeting us upon our late arrival and respecting our privacy.Just a quick note: avoid running the hair dryer and air conditioner at the same time—you might trip the fuse! "The property was great! Very relaxing yet still had all the essentials. It was super fun walking the property and enjoying all the fresh fruit! Star gazing in the hot tub was also enjoyable. Overall we enjoyed our stay so much & had so much fun exploring the big island. Only downside is the closest beach is about a 20 minute drive and there is no AC so it can get warm during the day, but wasn’t a problem at night."

"Great location. We wanted seclusion and it did not disappoint. I see some reviews complaining about the road to the house but that is what I loved. The connecting road is a little steep and bumpy but to get away from the crowds or tourists' areas, I can put up with a little rough road. We rented a Jeep because we planned on going to hard-to-reach beaches, etc., and did not have any problems. I do have to mention that the description of the property is not correct on the Vrbo page. The very first words in the listing says, "Entire house", which is not entirely true. There are other people that live in the house on the first level. However, the care takers that live there are very nice people and helpful. They were helpful in getting us in the house because the door lock code that was sent to us was wrong/old. In addition, the book of instructions inside the house also has an expired code. These are all minor things that did not cramp our style at all.Thanks "
