« The state was very quiet and soothing! Would highly recommend staying here to see the north side of the big island! It was my third trip and I wish I would’ve stayed here before. You are close to food, gas, and other needs. There are three different lookouts over the pacific for wonderful sunset views as well only about 10 to 15 minutes away. Great hosts, will stay here again for sure. »

« I am a repeat guest from 20 years ago and found it to be just as charming and bucolic as I remembered.This is the "other Hawaii" where peacefulness and quiet prevail. The animals in the pastures are the backdrop along with amazing views of Maui. Chris couldn't have been a better host, and a joy to talk to.His love of this area is obvious and contagious.Get away from the resorts and get out to the country.This is the best way to do it. »

« We had a fantastic stay here. The resort is absolutely perfect, great location and amenities, it’s almost too good to leave to go exploring (but you have to!). The room, balcony and view was spectacular. If you are thinking of going here, stop thinking, just book it, and definitely upgrade to the Gold experience, it’s worth it. The private hostess, lounge, amenities, all top notch. »

« The pictures on Expedia are not actual pictures of the resort. There are similar features but not the features pictured. There is one breakfast place that always has a wait and very limited menu or very expensive buffet. Parking is ridiculously expensive but having a car is necessary if you don’t want to go broke on the limited food options in the resort. The resort is huge and requires a lot of walking, but we enjoyed it. There are definitely additional amenities that could be added to the...

« The entire property was magical--such a peaceful and serene area. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Owl Nest. The property was equipped with everything I needed, making my experience completely comfortable. One of my favorite details was how, by opening all the curtains, you feel almost as if you’re sitting outside. The windows stay open with screens, so at night you can hear the soothing sounds of frogs and rain. It was an incredible way to connect with nature while indoors. I would rate this...

« This place was amazing! So clean and SO creative. Lots of cute frog-themed touches. They definitely put heart in to developing this oasis. Definitely arrive in the afternoon if possible so you can enjoy the property. The waterfalls and creeks are gorgeous! Be sure to eat before you arrive or bring food, as nearby options are limited. We are SO happy that we stayed here. Xoxo »
