« Kohala Lodge is not just a place to stay, it is a destination. If you visit the Big Island, it is one of the bucket-list experiences you must have. Scenic, tranquil, magical all come to mind. Sit on the expansive front porch and contemplate that you are on an island in the Pacific with a view of Maui in the distance. Feed the animals with pellets provided by the owner. When the breeze gets quite cool, you can build a fire in the stone fireplace with wood provided by the owner. I did not cook, so...
