When I arrived to ask about parking which wasn't obvious, I was told that Throstles tried to contact me several times unsuccessfully to inform me the Kitchen was out of commission and food was not available and they offered an upgrade to my room. The local area has KFC, Dominos, McDonalds and several others, so I stayed. The upgrade was to a room with en suite! I might have missed that I didn't have that when booking. The shower was so small a child could only comfortable shower. The Internet for that room was there, but useless as the signal was so weak. I complained the first night about this, but on the second night it wasn't fixed. You have to contact the reception every time you want to leave the hotel because the front door needs to be unlocked. Throstles Nest Hotel er ett gammelt og litt slitent hotell. Det ligger ikke i byens beste område og er litt utenfor sentrum, ca 25 gange, det samme opp til Anfield. Men servicen, vennligheten, hjelpsomheten til eieren Kevin og hans ansatte er priceless! Jeg har absolutt INGEN betenkeligheter med å bo her igjen og kan trygt anbefale det til andre. Spesielt, sånn som meg, hvis du er der på fotballtur. Og selvsagt hvis du har fornuften i behold og er det for å se Liverpool . The room was a bit small, but it contained everything I needed (a bed and a water source). Of course, it would have made the stay more pleasant if the toilet and the shower had not been placed in the corridor, but all in all, this hotel was a good experience.
