"Two brothers operate the hotel between the Saone and the Rhone rivers. They know the restaurants, night spots, museums and monuments in Vieux Lyon and new, and safest places for 2 elders to go. Very convenient to everything and not a far taxi, Uber, or bus ride from the main train station. They even arranged for a package to be sent to the USA!
We got our breakfast around the corner at a little cafe and our lunch at a farmers market along the Quai Saone."

Our room was small, but perfect for our needs. Larger rooms are available. Difficult not have the breakfast, but did have a tasty dinner . Would definitely stay again. Cute, unique situation on top floor of small commercial building. Central to road and rail travel. Free parking and WiFi. Quiet.

The staff was so friendly and kind! Loved this cute little hotel. Breakfast had great variety and good coffee! Or room was perfect with two beds, a shower and ample space for our belongings. We really appreciated that we were able to login to our Prime account and cast movies on the hotel tv. The bar in the lobby was great and we really enjoyed everything about the hotel. Simple, convenient and exactly what you need for low-fuss travel.

My husband and I were very happy with our stay in Hotel des Artisites and would return in a heartbeat. Although the room was admittedly small it was so well organized for unpacking that it functioned better and felt less cluttered and serene than a much larger hotel room we stayed in Nice. The room was one of the quietest we have ever stayed in. Although located on a square that could be quite busy, when the window was closed you couldn't hear anything. We absolutely loved this beautiful boutique hotel! From the first minute we stepped into it we felt pampered. Our room was facing a serene garden and had a huge balcony where we could relax after a day of sightseeing or enjoy a wonderful meal from the room service. The staff was exceptional - everyone at the reception, the room service and especially the concierge did their utmost to make our stay comfortable. This is a very nice property. Some rooms are on the small side but bathrooms big. High end finish.
We were in 147 once and it had a few stairs inside the room and it was very small. We also had 225 and it was bigger with no stairs.
There were a couple of mtce issues in my room but they were fixed within 2 hours.
One issue when I tried for early check in they said they would call when room was ready. When I asked at 3:00 pm my key was ready in a box of other keys and luggage was in room. I...

We were so very pleasantly surprised by this property! We chose it for the location and the price but the pictures online seemed to look a bit basic but it was so lovely. The hotel was clean, quaint, and more high end than expected. Sure the rooms amenities were basic, but the room itself was very clean and extremely comfortable.
The hotel was walking distance to everything we planned to see, and the quality of the restaurants close by were plentiful, wonderfully varied, with first rate food....

A very classy hotel with wonderful views. We would stay again. The staff were very professional. One morning at breakfast staff seemed a little over whelmed and too busy. Best towels ever.

Hotel Carlton Lyon was a lovely stay for us. The staff were fluent in French and English and very welcoming. The elevator, hallways, and room are well designed with a beautiful red color and wooden architecture. We stayed here for our honeymoon in Lyon as we tour France and the location of this Hotel is superb as you are in between the Old Town and the city. If you are thinking of visiting Lyon, this is a great Hotel to stay in. We will be back for sure.
