This was a very cute place to stay. It’s close to everything you might want to explore in town. The staff was super helpful and we had everything we needed.
Great location where everything is walking distance. Cabins are close together, but still had a sense of privacy. Rooms appear to look larger in photos than in real life, but still a good size space an clean. I would stay again and recommend.
Stood in the studio cabin, it was cute and cozy! Perfect for my mother daughter weekend. Lisa in the office was wonderful. Love the view from the back patio and the closeness to everything is perfect! I will definitely be back to the Idyllwild Inn.
A very cozy and quiet spot, with cute decor and a home-like vibe. Our room was very clean and spacey, all except for the bathroom.
The bathroom was definitely clean, though it was very cramped, for myself especially who is 6ft4in, and my girlfriend who is just above 5ft, we both found the standing shower to be a bit of an awkward experience
Altogether though, we both highly recommend this intimate little home away from home
We stayed at one of the Cabins, and the staff were so friendly and helpful at check-in, they even let us check in two hours early on a weekday, which we really appreciated!
The cabin was perfect for a couple of days, complete with all the basics included in both the bathroom and kitchenette. Having the option of both a fireplace and a gas fireplace was also a great touch.
The only tiny thing to note is that a few of the window screens are slightly ripped and could use a little attention, but it was nothing major at all.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and we would definitely stay again!
Cabin was cozy, clean including the patio area and furnitures. Location is great, walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, boutique shops and coffee/tea places. Love that we have access to sister facility amenities like the pickleball courts and pool at Taquitz Pine Retreat. We really enjoy our stay, definitely will be back.
Stayed in one of the rustic cabins and it was just what we wanted. It's right in town but the cabins are set back from the road and a good distance apart, and Idylwild is quiet enough that it's very relaxing. Staff were all great and the town is adorable.
Everything was great, the only downside was that my room smelled like mildew making it hard for me to sleep. The morning after we opened the door and windows to air out and it was better.
Stayed 2 nights in Aug 2026

Loved my room! I stayed in the “Lily fields” room and it remodeled and overlooked the giant trees.
There’s a walking trail on the property and downtown is a 10 minute stroll.
Joyce and Sandy were great, friendly and helpful.
Nice, clean room in a great location. We walked to town via the trail alongside Strawberry Creek. Wonderful. Our only complaint is that the bed was way too hard and we had trouble sleeping on it.
