"Fantastic location. We had to park our rental car in a pay lot across the street, but no big deal (no in-out allowed, but we were walking distance to everything we came to see). "Nice hostel in Otaru! Owners are friendly and willing to help out any questions you may have. No kerosene heaters required although there was a small one in my room that I used for a nightstand, not sure why it was there because there was also a wall mounted modern Hitachi ac/heater unit that was quiet and worked perfectly. This was my first hostel stay so the only thing I needed was a larger bath towel that was easily purchased a short walk away. Will be back!"

"Hotel was within 5mins walking from Sapporo subway line. Convenient and clean rooms. Stayed in a family room with triple beds for 8 nights. Toilet is big as compared to tokyo hotels. However, 2 cons. 1. Can hear my neighbour closing and opening theirs doors 2. Water drainage sounds quite loud especially at night. Not sure sound came from where but was certain not from my room. Could not sleep well for 1st few nights but got used to it after that. "
