Well renovated yet a bit modern as compare to other onsen ryokan in Japan. Staffs are super polite, helpful and considerate, exceeds most 5 stars hotel standard. The food over there are nice and the presentation is superb. It is just like an art...Each guest room has its own in-room onsen. Due to limited guest rooms, the public onsen is like private onsen most of the time. My family has an amazing stay there. Ask them for their "o-su-su-me" ("recommendation") and just enjoy yourself. Room was perfect, staff were helpful, food was excellent, and Otaru neighboring areas were so much fun for those looking to enjoy the Hokkaido region.
