"A very classy property that has been well maintained. Has a great location across the beach although a bit outside of downtown. It is one beach down from Ipanema. The food was mediocre at best but average for Brazil where they don't season or even use salt. The free breakfast is extensive but bland."

"Windsor California Copacabana was a beautiful hotel, very clean, and the service was great. In a very convenient location as well if you are staying in Rio. Walkable distances to both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, and easy to Uber or taxi wherever you need to go."

"This is a top hotel! I don't quite understand the negative reviews left. It's at least a four-star hotel and is excellent with staff, reception, and restaurant services. There are always several receptionists on duty, along with several porters. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and serves many local dishes, along with the more traditional. The hotel has granite floors throughout and a wonderful panoramic view of Copacabana. I did upgrade my room once I got there and was so glad I did. Also appreciated the fact that I could take the stairs to my room which were impeccably kept. Everything was clean and high-end. I would definitely stay here again and felt safe and well-served throughout the 8 days I stayed here."
