Ocean view resorts often include onsite shopping, indoor and outdoor pools, restaurants, and bars. Some even have swim-up bars! Not all ocean view hotels have the same onsite amenities as the resorts, but they won't be far away.

Looking for the shortest distance between you and the ocean? Look for an oceanfront room, typically a ground-floor room with easy beach access. Want sweeping vistas of the water? Check out ocean view rooms, typically an upper-floor room with a great view of the water. Partial ocean view rooms often have intriguing peek-a-boo views—but not the grand vistas—of the warm waters that await you.
