"My stay in May was unfortunately catastrophic, mainly because of several serious issues. On the day of our departure, a housekeeper woke us up at 8 a.m. to clean the room, which was particularly unpleasant. We also had a plumbing problem that caused water to flood the bathroom floor. On arrival, the toilet flush was not working, and we had to call a repairman to fix it.
However, my most recent stay in August was absolutely fantastic, and this was probably largely due to the fact that I was given one of the renovated rooms. The welcome was perfect, and the receptionist greeted me in French — a big thank you to her for that!
The room was clean, well laid out, and very quiet. I was also very happy to see that it had a shower rather than a bathtub, unlike the older rooms still found in the hotel. It is clear that the renovation has brought a real upgrade in terms of comfort and quality.
The only minor negative point was that the plumbing made some noise after the toilet was flushed, but this was a very small issue compared with the overall quality of my stay.
Overall, I am really satisfied with my most recent experience and very pleased to see the improvements made to the hotel. The renovated rooms make a real difference!"
