"We had an overall good stay. We upgraded one level and it was TOTALLY worth it compared to our friends' standard rooms. Much bigger, especially if it's a two queen room. It's an older hotel for sure but the decor was slightly more updated than the standard which made a difference for us. Check-in was easy but parking was confusing and pricey ($30 overnight but $50 if you want to come in and out during your stay-we should have used valet for $60) but pretty standard for anything by LAX. "If you are planning to visit universal studio then this is the place to be. You can walk to the universal studio in 8 min. Shuttle runs every 15 min. View of the mountain from the room is amazing. Staff is very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the stay a lot. Will stay here again."

"I was very nervous on the way to the property a lot of homelessness was very nervous but once I got to the facility and realize that valet and underground parking available I felt way more at ease I would not recommend walking around the town but as far as the facility very secure and safe. It is not the hostel's fault by any means of what's happening around it. But the facility itself is very nice for the money"
