"Great LA Spot"
I have always been a Westin fan and now I include Hyatt in my favorite brands. This hotel is centrally located and across the street is a Westfield mall which gphas a variety of restaurants and a food market for convenience. The hotel vibe is very hip and fun-totally LA. The rooms are nice and each has a lanai so you can get fresh air and sit outside in privacy. There is a beautiful pool and the staff is very friendly, professional and accommodating. The only downside is that there is no hotel fitness center but you can go to Equinox for $25/day. A little pricey. But I travel with a TRX system (small, lightweight, effective) and the hotel will bring a yoga mat to your room at no charge.

"Nice clean hotel but poor service"
The hotel was lovely in its design and the rooms were big and spacious and comfortable. However our bathroom shower had a really poor design making it impossible for a tall person to stand and enjoy their shower. Also the aircon wasn't working properly and we told the concierge twice and it still wasn't fixed, the maintenance staff even came and told us that it was our fault and that it's because we had our curtains open during the day... Really not what you would expect. Throughout all of this there was no apology and no real attempt to fix the aircon which made sleeping really quite uncomfortable at times. The pool and restaurants are lovely but service from some of the staff, especially those by the pool, seemed a little lacklustre. Overall I think there are nicer hotels in Beverly Hills where both the staff and the rooms are at a 5 star level.

"Great day in Downtown LA!"
9/12/15 birthday celebration. My husband and I go on mini gateways with or without the kids. This trip was definitely without the kids but the hotel was very family friendly. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly, but the only thing I was a little disappointed about, after a nice dinner with friends, my girlfriend accidently twisted her ankle by stepping on a open crack cement right out side the valet. As you can imagine she was in so much pain. My husband and I are nurses so I went to the front desk to ask for a first aid kit so we can at least ace-wrap her ankle and I was very surprised the guy at the front desk said they didn't have any. Not to mention very obnoxious. My girlfriend will never come again, she mention Ritz Carlton instead, such a small incident that quickly change gears. My recommendation to the hotel, maybe carry a first aid kit and be polite.
