Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites

"Overall, a great stay for the price! It is walking distance from Ocean Avenue if you don't mind a serious trek up the hill (substantial, even for active people). We chose to drive since I was under the weather, and it just took a couple minutes. The rooms at the front of the property are quite noisy - both road noise and snoring/conversations from next door noise. The staff seem to understand this, as they provide earplugs in the nightstands. There really aren't any big frills. It's a simple, clean stay in a great location. If I were to choose a most important upgrade, I'd say replacing the flooring - both carpet and in the bathroom- would go a really long way. So if new/super nice flooring is your thing, bring slippers. Still, it's an amazing place considering the price and location. My one disappointment is that the fire pit was out of order. I was really looking forward to hanging out in the courtyard!"

"Beautiful property!! Staff was friendly and very helpful. Everything very clean and well maintained. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach, and a short (10 min) walk to the center of the Village of Carmel. While that walk is largely up hill to town, it’s not bad. There’s a free hotel shuttle to/from the Village that’s available 5-10pm. We rarely used it, as the walk was nice. My adult daughter and I felt completely safe walking between town and the hotel even at 10pm when everything was dark and quiet. The complimentary breakfast is AWESOME. Definitely recommend."
