"It was a perfect double room. 30 second walk to the park across the street. Fluffy beds and crisp sheets. The little patio set was nice to sit at instead of a bed. Had fans and a heater available. Hairdryer also (for others packing purposes)."

"This is just the sweetest place, nestled into a cliffside, south of Big Sur. Miles from any amenities, and with no one to greet you when you arrive, the owners nevertheless make checking in a breeze and even have the wit to provide an extra key in the lockbox in case you lock yourself out. In the morning, a "breakfast nook" opens at 8:30am so you can have a muffin and fruit and juice with the coffee you've made in the room. Ocean views are spectacular, even if you don't have an ocean view room, since you can walk up the trail to enjoy the sea. A real find. I've passed through Lucia dozens of times and always wondered what it would be like to stay there. Now I know. On this trip, it was the perfect stop."

"We had a wonderful few days. The room was clean, but dated. The bed was comfortable. We liked the patio with ocean view. Thank you for the upgrade, we didn’t expect it and are grateful. The bathroom could use a makeover. The toilet was so low and small and almost looked like it was made for a child. If anyone has mobility issues that might be a problem. We had room number 160. We also missed counter space for our toiletries. Daily maid service is only provided if requested one day in advance. The highlight is the property itself, located directly at the ocean. The property is set up like a park at the ocean with walking paths, fire places, volleyball court and plenty of options to sit and listen to the waves."

"Great location for the shops on Main Street and the coastal headland trail. The Inn was friendly and quiet. Whilst we appreciate it was in keeping with the Victorian setting it could do with some updating. Check-in was simple and we were looked after by a lovely lady on reception who gave helpful advice on local travel. The spa was closed but we were provided with a very nice half bottle of wine on arrival."

"A simple hotel but had everything we needed: parking included, very clean room and bathroom, and very comfortable bed and pillows. The room was ample enough that we didnt feel suffocated and just 15 minutes from downtown Monterey."
