"The rooms and bathroom seem to be remodeled, so it felt clean and new. We had a classic suite which has two queen beds and one king bed in two separate rooms. It is spacious and comfortable. Even though it looks like more a model from exterior, inside it felt more comfortable than a typical 3-Star hotel. Plenty parking. There is a 7-11 and Safeway close by so easy to get food. Overall, very comfortable stay."

"Came for an anniversary with my partner, and honestly was the best choice we could’ve made. Loved the room and amenities. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. A huge shout out to Diego, when we told him we were there for our anniversary, he made us feel very special."

Monarch Valley Inn Marina at Monterey Bay

"We were only there in night, but it was convenient and affordable. The room was clean and well kept. A few cobwebs in the corners, but not other issues. Despite being close to t busy street it was pretty quiet. The shower was nice, and lots of hot water. The refrigerator was in great working order and much appreciated. The only thing that should have been done better is make sure we had soap! There was none and we got back to our room late so we could not contact the desk. Luckily I had some in my bag."

"I knew that this was a 'budget friendly' hotel. It was no frills as expected, but clean and comfortable. There is little sound supression from the overhead room which was noticeable, but once they quieted down, there was no problem. Please note that they add a $100 'deposit' to one's credit card which I was not expecting. I assume that will be refunded right away in my case. The motel was in a quiet and safe neighborhood very close to Monterey, which was great."
