"I would still give this property a high rating because staying here is the best way to fully experience the beauty and tranquility of Emerald Lake. However, my overall experience was affected by several issues. Shortly after I booked through Expedia, I started receiving scam emails and phone calls almost every day. Fortunately, I recognized that the calls were not coming from Expedia's official phone number, so I was not scammed. Still, it was concerning that this only started after making my reservation. The bigger issue happened at check-in. The front desk did not inform me that my booked room type was unavailable until I pointed out that my two reservations should have been two different type with one being more expensive. The manager then explained that Expedia had not updated its room inventory, so the room type I booked was no longer available. However, before booking, I had compared the room types on both Expedia and the hotel's official website, and they matched, so I do not believe this was simply an Expedia inventory issue. I had to accept a different room type. The manager told me that Expedia had already been notified and that I would receive a refund for the difference. Unfortunately, I have still not received any email or refund confirmation. When I contacted Expedia, they said they had no record of this arrangement. I am now left caught between the hotel and Expedia, with no resolution."

"Perfect stay in this mountain hotel. I could not have asked for a better experience. Very friendly and accommodating staff. They gave us an extra cot; which was very helpful because we ended up brining our teenager along after original plans changed. Very appreciative of the shuttles to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake! It made navigating our time there so much easier. The pool, hot tub and steam room were very nice and in good condition. Don't forget to check out their cozy library and ask for a tour of the wine cellar."

"The spot is perfect, quiet, beautiful, clean and well maintained. The food is amazing. Dinner is way beyond expectation. They even provided lunch bag of a few delicious snacks for day hikers. The surrounding is just heaven. Could not ask for more. Only bad thing is our stay is just one night! We will definitely come back for more stays."

"This place was a fun cabin amongst a group of cabins. My wife and I like to hike and were pleasantly surprised to discover that we could hike to Lake Louise right from the cabin. It was about a 15-minute hike up the road and then we hiked up to the Tea House at Lake Louise, about an hour and a half one way, for a magical experience. The fireplace was gas and was used to heat the cabin. Not the romantic fireplace I was expecting but very functional for heat...it was controlled by the thermostat. We loved the bathtub and used it to soak in after our days of hiking! After seeing the Fairmount Hotel at the Lake, and how crowded it was with tourists during the day, I'm glad we didn't choose to spend our money staying there and stayed here instead."

"What a wonderful stay, I don't even know where to begin. Fist, check in was simple, very nice people. Once in our suite... wow...the views from the balcony were amazing. Waking up to falling snow in the mountains with snow covered evergreens has been checked off the bucket list. The walk to Lake Louise was simple and only a 15-20 minute hike. We loved all the amenities from the pour over coffee in the room to the ability to cook our own food. We did take out one evening as well, and that was delicious. The suite was spacious for a family of 4 especially being as you're in the mountains, very clean and well kept care of. Would highly recommend and would love to return. Thank you for our wonderful stay! Also... if you're looking to beat the crowds of the day. Hike back over to Lake Louise in the evening for a relaxing, peaceful, and still lake to see all its beauty. Definitely a plus to staying here!"
