There are a ton of black sand beaches in Iceland. The one at Vik has the basalt columns which are cool but it's a small area and the tour buses pour in people throughout the day. I'd recommend to go at sunrise/sunset if possible.

Absolutely great. The pictures don’t do the property justice. Very spacious, spotless clean, totally fell in love with the floors. The sauna and tub were spectacular, got some amazing aurora views while relaxing in both. The neighborhood was great, with multiple stores like Bónus just a few minutes away. The owner was super friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
