We tried to book a hotel in the area of Vik for a family of 5, and the Barn was the only viable option. It was actually a lot of fun. We had our own room with double sized bunk beds. We did have to use common sinks and private bathroom stalls outside our bedroom, but everything was clean and well kept.
This place was perfect for our stop along the south coast. The bar was open as late as the people were enjoying it and the food was good. Small menu but still great. We didn’t use the kitchen but there were plenty of people in there making full blown meals. Everyone cleaned up after themselves and we could not have been more impressed. Super fun little spot! The views of the northern lights from our room kept me in awe all night.
Very good, modern facilities, many bathroom and toilet never had to wait. Big kitchen we lot of space for everyone.
Good place to see northern light. Very friendly atmosphere.
The hostel is super cool inside, reasonably priced and the amenities are very comfortable and organized and clean. We had a great time! It felt like we were staying in a luxury hotel honestly based on the decor and how nice everything was. Beds are comfortable and large.
This place is super nice and modern, very clean and nice facilities. There is also a bar offering food (pizza, wings, etc) for relatively cheap compared to the rest of iceland. The place is right by reynesfjara beach so it is a perfect location close to vik. Loved it here.
Hands down the best stay we had in Iceland. The bathrooms are shared, but they are better than any hotel in America. We got the smallest private room which was plenty large for 2. As with most accommodations in Iceland, you must bring your own toiletries. Towels are provided. We saw the Northern lights standing right outside. There's a full bar open until 11pm onsite.
Very clean and well taken care of hostel. Bathrooms were very nice, clean and private. Bedroom was comfortable & really enjoyed the bar in the evening!
Great hostel. My first experience. I had a room with a king bed. The property was clean and full! Lots of good vibes in the shared kitchen. Made new friends instantly. Would love if it was a bit cheaper. Came back for a second night 3 days later and had the most unbelievable Aurora show. Magical. Very well run property. Bed and pillows were good.
