I have mixed review about this property. Yes, the setting on a farm near Vik is undeniably lovely, with sheep grazing nearby...etc/ We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom in a complex behind the main house. The lobby of our building was rustic & quaint. Our room was nice, modern and clean with a comfortable bathroom. Stefano, who checked us in was really sweet and amiable. The breakfast was decent... not the best we had in Iceland but there were enough options to choose from. But we had a few little quibbles with the hotel. For $400/night Cdn it would have been nice if there had been soap and shampoo in the shower. We asked about this when we checked out and was told it's not provided. This is the only hotel we stayed in during our week in Iceland that didn't provide soap in the shower. There is also no tv or phone in the room we stayed in so if you need to reach anyone in the main hotel, you have to use your mobile phone or walk over. We asked for ice and was told the hotel didn't have any... Uhhh, really? No ice in Iceland? And note, you are about an 18 minute drive to Vik and this hotel provides breakfast only, so it's just something to note. Also, while we didn't seen inside the glamping tents on the property, they didn't appear to be super glam. Given there were crazy high winds and rainy conditions when we stayed at the Farmhouse Lodge, we were really happy to be staying in the hotel.
