We were expecting great things from other reviews but it was just average. Some things were great such as complimentary fresh milk in your room and the door man when we arrived back late made us feel safe. However when we arrived we were apparently upgraded, the room was no better than what we expected except it was clearly set up for single occupancy not the romantic couple break we were after. It was also slightly concerning when we asked housekeeping if we could have a fresh mug to be told to wash it in the bathroom sink as that is what they do. I hope this is not how they clean them between guests. The rest of the hotel including pool facilities appeared to be cleaned to a high standard. We were also disappointed that breakfast on the second day was the expected cold buffet but the hot menu had been replaced with a hot buffet so items on the website and from the day before were not available. It was also not set up well for a vegetarian. It was not indicated on the website or anywhere else that this would be the case- quite disappointing paying a lot at a 4 star hotel and not getting the service we had the morning before after a busy night out. Some staff were fantastic . A mixed review. We would stay again but not have such high expectations and bring our own mugs!
