"Beautiful house"
Brilliant house in one of the best places in Southern Ontario. Rooms are beautifully made and modern. Owners John and Karen were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to talk and give advice. Perfect getaway. Breakfasts were fantastic and filling. Wife and I loved our experience and will definitely recommend to family and friends. Will revisit for sure.

"Showing wear around the edges"
The building is a renovated dairy, and the exposed brick, high ceilings, and wooden beams certainly give it character. We enjoyed the in-room gas fireplace, and complimentary in-room breakfasts. Our room was spacious, and in many ways inviting, but there are signs of wear and tear. Our bed's king size mattress was propped up in the middle by a plywood board under the main frame. The desk, armoire, and bedside tables showed nicks and scratches that come with normal use, but left the impression the place is in decline. The carpet in the connecting hallways was ugly and sad, and left me wondering if it was a vestige of the buildings' former use as a night club. The pattern screamed 80's airport hotel. 4 things stood out as unfortunate: When we arrived in our room, we noticed a small round black "pebble" on the bedspread, that we chose to believe was a stone, and not a hardened rodent dropping. Our room was on the second floor, and despite the high ceiling, we were subject to a lot of noise originating from a large exhaust fan on the roof. I suspect if we had used the air-conditioning, the noise would have been masked, but it was February. The hotel charged a non-negotiable parking fee of $15 per day. While this might make sense in the busy season, we were definitely there in the off-season. There were several near-empty lots adjacent to the hotel, charging only 4 or 5 dollars per day for parking. This seemed a cheap cash grab on the part of a higher-end hotel.

"Great Stay"
My wife and I chose NOTL for a long weekend visit. It was our first time to the area. We found Somerset Jouse online and gave it s shot. We stayed in the master suite. It was super spacious and very clean. The bathroom was was modern and luxurious. The other big benefit was the view. The house sits right on the water so you get an unobstructed view of the mouth of the Niagara River, Firt Niagara on the US side, and Lake Ontario. The location is also nice because it's a short walk into town and just far enough out that the streets are quiet. Plenty of off street parking too. Julie (housekeeper) was very nice and gave us honest reviews of restaurants, activities, etc. We also recommend the foodie tour with Charlie for some history on the town and a chance to duck into a variety of restaurants you probably wouldn't have time to go to. My wife and I aren't the type to laze about the B&B, instead we used Somerset House as a home base and it served our needs very well. Thanks for the stay!

"Beautiful hotel in great location"
We loved our stay at the Georgian Residence. The location is perfect and the room is beautiful. We had a sitting room with a large fire place as well as bedroom. My only area for improvement is related to the mattress. It was uncomfortable and I felt like I was sleeping in someone else's memory foam bed with the imprint of their body impacting my ability to roll.
