Really loved the separate king bedroom with a solid door to keep out all noise from living room area. Bed was firm much to our liking. Great stay
Great moderately priced hotel. Most major points of interest were close by, Flying in to the city did not bother to rent a car. We were able to walk to most places and the only one that was any distance was a short taxi ride.
First of all, you have to take into account that the place is 100 years old, so it's not all sparkly and modern pretty. The place has character which I liked. The woman who checked me in was fabulous, as was the hotel watchman on duty at the time. The downside was the noisy neighbours slamming their ...
The noise from the pool could sometimes be loud. I was on second floor. Took me forever to find an ice machine. Signs say by the pool. However, there's a sign on the second floor by the pool entrance that says ice in lobby. Had me going in circles. Overall nice hotel.
Nice beds. Clean room and bathroom. Good space. Didnt eat breakfast in the hotel. Loved the fridge and microwave. Enough dresser space.
I had a great stay. The staff were very welcoming right from the start and remained that way the whole time I was there. I enjoyed how happy most of the staff seemed to be at work. If you’re looking for a dynamic city overflowing with booming music, intricate architecture, and a long legacy of history, make Winnipeg your next vacation spot.
You may be vacationing in Manitoba’s capital city, but you can still find a wealth of inexpensive activities.
If it’s winter, bring those ice skates down to the frozen Assiniboine River. During the colder months, several smaller pathways freeze over, which make them perfect for ice skating around the city. Keep this exploratory spirit alive as you check out Union Station, the oldest train station in Winnipeg. Built in 1911, the impressive dome ceiling is still an architectural marvel. If you hear any tunes as you’re strolling through town, stop and listen, because Winnipeg plays host to a number of music festivals throughout the year. Many of these festivals are fairly cheap to get into, so you can enjoy the party and still have some cash left over for snacks.
Winnipeg is also full of colourful murals -- over 400 outdoor murals, in fact. Take your time trying to view them all and remember to take a few pictures along the way.
