« We loved our stay at Kehena house! We were greeted by Stephen when we arrived and given a quick tour. They were hosting a Pride potluck that day and he kindly invited us to come eat and join in as guests of the house. Everyone we met was friendly and we felt safe to be ourselves. « Our stay at the Fern Studio was excellent. The hosts, Elaine and Carter, were so incredibly kind and very communicative. Providing instructions early prior to our arrival and gave us lots of tips while we were there. Especially for the National Park next door. »

« This property was great, the only thing that I would say was that the A/C wasn’t preforming the way is should have. Other than that everything else was just awesome, the place was very clean and the location was in a good spot. We are from Hawaii and we came back to visit our family. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone who is staying to visit family in the Puna area, or even just to explore the island. Thank you for a wonderful experience. »

« Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up. »

« We were very Comfortable and would stay again! Appreciate white linens as it adds to feeling of being clean. Comfortable bed. A/C was a nice perk! Unit was ground level so easy to get baggage in and out. Designated parking spot. House Close to road but never noticed car noise. Did hear foot noise over head but wouldn’t deter from staying again. The local market, KTA, was great!! »
