I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The room was phenomenal— from the decor to the amenities to the view! The breakfast prepared by Chef Joseph every morning was delicious, and was the perfect beginning for every day. It was fresh and tasty. The Friday night dinner was also prepared with so much thought and intention, each plate was so yummy and presented beautifully. We also loved the hot tub, it was a nice way to end our evening after exploring Hawai’i. Next time in town I’ll be back!

This lovely secluded rain forest cabin is wonderfully private, very close to the park, and the owners are extremely responsive (by text). They provide coffee and bottled water (although the filtered rain water is fine too). Note that it’s a pretty big place so takes a bit to warm up on cold wet days, but worth it!

Very easy access to Volcano National Park. Cozy rooms- ours had a gas fireplace which was amazing after getting soaked on a hike! Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant was probably the biggest surprise. The complimentary breakfast was delicious but the dinner was outstanding. The new chef prepared a fresh catch dish (Mahi Mahi) that was better than any meal we had in our Waikoloa resort or in Kona. Delicious wine selection. The dining room is beautiful with a roaring wood fire on a historic stone fireplace. After “roughing it” all day in the park - this was a wonderful treat! We definitely recommend.

The grounds are beautiful with lush tropical plants. It's so relaxing just to sit outside and drink your coffee in the morning with all the birds singing. The manager was very responsive when our fan stopped working and replaced it immediately.

Beds are so comfortable. Lovely grounds , spa is great with hot tub and sauna that you can reserve for private time. Birds can be noisy but you get used to them and actually look forward to hearing and seeing them around the property.
