I don't even want to give it one star. It was awful , the service was awful when I checked in. The person strived to get me out of there as quick as possible. He threw the room keys at me...didnt hand them to me. barely said anything to me throughout the exchange event when I asked questions. The floor was sticky walking in the bathroom in my room had not been cleaned what so ever. The fridge did not work. some of the outlets didn't work. It was a terrible stay.

The woman working the desk was very helpful and friendly, and the location worked for us perfectly. However, there was no thermostat in the room at all, and the windows wouldn't even open ajar for some air. When asked, we were told the building was on a central temp and we asked for it to be lowered a little bit but there was take no shift. It was warm and uncomfortable

So disgusting we left after seeing the windowless, dingy room - it look like a prison cell without bars. The entry way was dirty, the furniture old and worn. Unfortunately, we had already checked in and paid before we left so now will have to fight for reimbursement. NOTE the “free” parking garage is across the street. We went there first before checking in and then were told the hotel wouldn’t pay for it. We were supposed to know to check in first. We went to a very nice Holiday Inn Express a block away for the night.

It’s not easy to say this - but this place is filthy. It’s very dirty, and disorganized. The only reason this was acceptable to our party was because this was mostly all that was available in an insanely busy weekend in Philly. Here’s the Cole’s notes: - generally super unclean - room looked like it hadn’t had the bathroom cleaned when we arrived - front desk staff often disappears, or other times there would be 4 people hanging out at the front desk? - got locked out of hotel, and room 3 times - the stairs to floors were OUT OF ORDER?!? So … elevator only. Let me know how that works out if there’s an emergency.. thankfully the stairs were fine (despite having a sign that they were out of order…) - the linen closet/room was always open on our floor and if you looked in, the place was filthy. - no toilet paper in our room when we checked in - when we had our room get turned over - nothing was changed (garbages, sheets, etc) and two new towels were just tossed up on our shelf.. Long story short - if you have another option - take it.

Let's start with the number one problem. Parking absolutely none you have to park across the street and it's an additional $48 a day. They did give me one coupon for $10 off which did help but I was there 3 days I believe. They did upgrade me the first night to a new room they called me and made me move to the room that originally booked that wasn't available but became available but wasn't available. The night staff was absolutely nice and respectful the day staff they were nice and respectful too just a lot of confusion so I'm not going to say anything bad about that and I'm one problem that I had was the parking that was it make sure you add that to your total it was WrestleMania weekend everything was booked out I booked a room with the bathroom and the hall not a big deal didn't care about that just wish I didn't have to move halfway through my stay then they gave me a room when I open the door there was a man sleeping in there at 11:30 at night I can see his feet they gave me somebody else's room and I had to go back down and the night staff gave me the correct room that could have been a big problem if I had been drinking at all. They just became a quality inn was something else before that all in all I had a good experience but there are some things that need to be fixed which I'm sure in time they will be able to get done. As far as staying there again I would probably stay there again but I will definitely not be parking across the street.

The front desk lady was very nice. Other than that… the elevator is tiny and scary, hallways very aged and it felt like you were going to fall through the floor. My door did not completely close at the top. It was crazy hot in the rooms and the refrigerator made a non stopping buzzing sound. I do not think I would stay there ever again, same with my friends. Lots of people begging for money around the hotel and waiting to ask for money when you walk out the door.

The Red Lion Inn was filthy. Carpet, floors, etc. I have really bad asthma and could not sleep because all of the smoke and marijuana smoke coming through the vents. The street noise was SO loud. The parking was $48 for 24 hours, really expensive. The property manager gave me a small percent off for my inconvenience.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. I only have been to two horrible hotels in my life, and I travel at least 2-3 a year. This is definitely the second worst hotel I have ever been to. I am okay with simple, cheap hotels but to pay $150 for a night in a place that doesn’t offer BLANKETS in a room that YOU CANT CHANGE THE AIR CONDITIONER settings? I was freezing all night, it’s way too cold. The bathroom was separated from the room, which is fine but the door wouldn’t shut all the way. Dirty place, smelled like marijuana everywhere you go, the walls were falling apart. Just book the holiday inn across the street!

The staff here were lovely and helpful. They went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms were cold with no thermastat, the oil heater knocking kept me up most of the night. Didn't expect breakfast but it was pretty limited.

My stay at the Lions Inn
It’s a clean, decent size room (kind of narrow) but long. Additionally, they have a microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker & supplies in my room. Furthermore, they provide a light breakfast in the mornings. There’s a stand up shower that may fit two or three people at one time. Lastly, it’s pretty quiet here.

The hotel is affordable, staff is nice enough, but the property needs a clean up. Fresh paint, shower curtains that reach the floor, over all room presentation could be done better. Worse part was we didn’t understand the bathroom was separate from our room. It was private but we’re still not sure how that wasn’t clear when we booked. Hotel does the job, but the frills are limited.

At check in I was immediately given an attitude and they almost forgot to give back my security deposit that I made in cash during check out (Yes, you have to pay a security deposit to stay here) Ive heard of people making the security deposit with credit card and them not refunding you after. I would probably pay the security deposit in cash so they have to give it back to you at check out. The room smelled of smoke and the drain in the shower had a bunch of hair clogging it up from previous stayers. When trying to open one of the windows for some fresh air there was some hair/food particles sitting on top of the window frame. There is a phone in the room but it doesnt work, not even when you try to call the front desk. Although not the establishments fault, the first night of my stay there was a fire alarm going off at an adjacent building since 1am until about 7 am. You can pretty much hear ANYTHING happening outside no matter where your room is located. If you stay, definitely bring some ear plugs. The cleaning staff were kind however, and there is someone always readily available at the front desk for whatever you may need. Also the location is incredible.

It is quite false and untrue to say that we are not returning the deposits, if I may say. All the deposits are returned to the guests ( credit cards taking longer depending on the day of the week and the bank).As per the noice, as you can imagine the location of the hotel in the city centre, an indeed it can be at times loud, hence we do provide the earplugs upon request. Great stay
Overall a great stay! The hotel is clean and the room clean either and wide enough for 4 people! Hotel staff is kind and available, we arrived 4 hours earlier than the check in time but they let us get in the room because it was already ready! Breakfast is good and included. The center of the city is 8 minutes by walk. A lot of restaurants and cafe closed!

Pretty awful hotel, only saving grace was the staff. The hotel is extremely dated and run down. The rooms down have thermostats and there are no comforters or really any blanket on the beds. I was freezing the first night there until they turned the heat up (for the whole floor) which led to me baking the room which was preferable given the lack of blankets. The thing that annoyed me the most is that I paid for a queen size room and the room was a full. I argued a bit with the front desk who were adamant that all rooms had queen sized beds. They didn’t have much to say when I showed them a picture of the tag on the mattress that says “full sized”. I felt like that was a little bit shady.

I did checked the mattress you were mentioning and I can assure you that there are not mentioning about any full size on it, as indeed all of our rooms have a queen size beds, all the same as a standard been purchased.We are always encouraging our guests to eat us know how can we mare their stay pleasant and we have extra blankets, heater and fans available upon request. The only problem I had was the beds it was uncomfortable & it was cold in the room we told them to turn on the heat & they refuse to turn it on so we were cold all night & we went downstairs again & asked again for them to turn on the heat they did for a little bit & it went right back off it was freezing cold outside

The room was nice enough, but there was no hot water in the shower. There was in the bathroom sink, oddly enough. Last day I opened the door and one of the bolts holding the latch to the door frame just fell out.

Had a scare when I received a txt stating that my reservation was canceled. That was cleared up. Surprised that bathroom is outside room. Ok I can manage. Hotel staff was great, friendly and accommodating. Location is great especially for young folk. I would stay again

next time i will book a room with bathromm inside room, and a front location, my room was in the back and overlooked an alley way with homeless men camping there were nosiey and set dumpster fires to keep warm, otherwise the area was okay in front many stores/food vendors
