Vernon Ski Vacations

My stay at the Quality Inn and Suites in Vernon, BC, was excellent. I found my room to be clean and well-maintained, and the queen-sized bed was comfortable - although I did not find the separate switch for the lights over the bathroom sink, so be sure to look for that (or ask someone!). I did not have daily cleaning (by choice), and I did not interact with staff at all really, other than seeing the housekeepers in the hallways and asking a question or two at the front desk. At those times, they were friendly and helpful. I did not eat breakfast, but the dining area appeared to be clean and well-stocked every day. (Friends of mine ate there and had no complaints.) I had an efficiency suite. The small kitchenette was equipped with cutlery/dishes/pots and pans, a microwave and a two-burner cooktop, as well as a full-sized refrigerator, and dinette set (two chairs + a small round table). Two things that I would have expected to see in this space that WERE NOT there were a kettle and a toaster. Other than those missing items, everything in the room was fine. The location was perfect for my purposes; however, it is a very busy corner, and there was a lot of noise in the area until late into the evening. In addition to the regular sounds of traffic, there were often loud cars driving by, with drivers revving their engines. Probably not much can be done about that, but I am mentioning it for people to be aware of, in case it may be a problem for them.

We stayed in the off season and seemed to have the whole floor to ourselves. It was very quiet, the room clean and the bed comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It was an enjoyable stay.

There are no rooms in this hotel that are accessible. Hotels.com should not be offering accessible rooms according to front end staff at the hotel!! All rooms only have bathtubs and not showers that could be used by those with mobility issues. So disappointed in our stay. Disabled people should have every right to an accessible shower. They need to bathe too!
