Amazing experience all around

Resort staff is what makes the property unique. They are incredible. Juan bardeno and Daisy at the bldg 6 pool absolutely made this week special. Our butler Juan handled every request and was always concerned with our stay. Marino in the steakhouse bar was top notch and fun! The resort is beautiful but cannot be given 5 stars simply due to the lack of maintenance. We had a/c problems, plumbing problems and even electrical problems. Most we're addressed and fixed, but a true 5 star would have had them fixed before guests reported them. We also had a big group and 4 rooms, so it wasn't just isolated to one room. The pools are beautiful, but again maintenance problems exist, with tiles missing everywhere and pool lights disconnected from the sides of the pool or being help on in place with metal wires... Majestic colonial is currently undergoing renovations and we are hopeful that majestic mirage will get the same treatment as it really could use an update and some neglected maintenance updates. We had a great time, because of the staff, and will return again, after the updates.

I liked that they played Latin music and had singers that could sing Latin music. I like the breakfast buffet-good food and a variety. What I would say needs to improve is that you have booked all inclusive but then you have to “fight” to get reservations for dinner times and where you want to go.. we booked our dinners the first night and twice was told-oh we are booked(they were not full at all). We went late-yes it was late(our fault) and although it was still open-it was empty and the woman said there was nothing that could be done. We walked away and luckily a supervisor saw it and got us into a restaurant right next door and discounted a bottle. That was good customer service but I would prefer you go where you want, when you want within a time. The food was ok-the steak was good at the meat house and cooked to medium rare but the other places were well done. Which is not a big deal if you don’t expect greatness.. if you do, you would be disappointed. Wish there were more activities later after 11:00.
