(295 reviews) This place is really quite the paradise. Very secluded and beautiful. Food was really good and the staff was extremely accommodating and kind. My only downfall is this resort specifically said “adults only” and I took they very seriously. The back half of my 6 day stay I saw at least 3 kids and it really rubbed me the wrong way. Do not say “adults only” and then have kids swimming in the pool. I was very disappointed. I am still going to give it a 5 star rating because the views and the ambiance is breathtaking. It’s a little far from the main town so get ready for big uber bills and make sure they actually take visa if you plan to use a card. Some drivers didn’t understand and said they would take card and then we arrived and they didn’t take cards. They misunderstood what I was asking. Show them the physical card and ask. (366 reviews) The grounds were clean and spectacular, and the room was fantastic. We had a garden with a partial ocean view, which was very private. We loved the different pools, restaurants, great drinks, and excellent food. The staff were outstanding, the service was superb, (the bellman Arnulfo \[blue eyes\] was helpful and stepped up to help out with transportation). Housekeeping noticed that we were celebrating a birthday, and they had a pleasant surprise in the room, complete with balloons and a "Happy Birthday" sign. That made the day even more special; it was just beautiful! Can't wait to go back. (346 reviews) The room itself was adequate. The one feature we did love was the outdoor shower. However, the lighting in the room was extremely dark, and despite booking a full ocean-view room, our view was largely blocked by a pool umbrellas with only a very limited glimpse of the ocean. During our stay, multiple events took place that shut down key areas of the hotel, including pools and restaurants. This significantly limited dining and amenity options and should have been clearly communicated in advance. One wedding, located close to our room, was exceptionally loud for over eight hours and had a major impact on our ability to relax and enjoy the day. It felt more like a Vegas-style event atmosphere than a tranquil resort experience. Dining was another major disappointment. The few available restaurants were extremely expensive, and the food quality did not justify the cost. Overall, the food and beverage experience was very poor. The beach area was also underwhelming. Only a very small portion was walkable, and there was a very limited area considered safe for swimming. On our second-to-last morning, gardeners began digging and cutting directly beside our patio at 8:00 a.m., which woke us abruptly. Despite requesting multiple times to speak with a manager about our concerns, we were never contacted. Overall, this hotel was a significant disappointment. (1,463 reviews) Property was newly remodeled. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Loved how many chairs they had by all the pools so you were not fighting for a chair every day. My biggest complaint is the way they do the dinner. They say you dont need reservations, but unless you are in line before 6pm you will not get in to dinner at the restaurants. They give you a buzzer and then once the buzzer goes off you have 10 minutes to get your entire group there, which is unrealistic. You also don't get to plan on the time you eat, so you have to be ready at 6, but might not get buzzed until 8:00\. This system with the buzzers needs to be changed and allow people to make reservations for specific times. Most of the restaurants were over half empty at all times because the system is flawed.
