The property itself was beautiful. A fantastic pool and a private beach! Staff were friendly but it often felt like service was quite slow (the hotel wasn’t all that busy, but when we let the front desk know that we didn’t have towels, it was almost an hour before we got any; similarly, it took us about 20 minutes to get drinks in an almost-empty bar). One important thing to note is that everything nearby shuts down at 5pm when the cruise boats leave. Our options for dinner were: eat at the hotel restaurant; get McDonald’s across the street; or take a taxi to a restaurant elsewhere on the island. We wish we’d known this in advance and could have planned accordingly.

Extremely poor and unacceptable experience – cockroaches, mold, and unsanitary conditions I strongly recommend that other guests think twice before staying at this hotel. Our experience was completely unacceptable. During our stay, we discovered cockroaches in both rooms we had booked. We immediately reported the problem to the hotel, but nothing was done. We were told that something would be done about it, but there was no effective response or action during our stay. The bathrooms were extremely dirty and had a significant amount of mold. The mattresses were also in very poor and unhygienic condition, with visible mold and fungus. We have attached photographs documenting these conditions. We contacted the hotel’s main office and submitted a detailed complaint. We were eventually told that they would disinfect and treat the two rooms and that they appreciated us bringing the situation to their attention. However, this does not change the fact that we had to stay in these unacceptable conditions and that nothing was done while we were actually staying at the hotel. This is not a matter of a hotel simply needing renovation. These are serious hygiene and health concerns. It is extremely difficult and uncomfortable to sleep in a room where there are cockroaches, mold, and visibly dirty mattresses. I am posting this review to warn other travelers. Please look carefully at the photos attached before deciding to stay here. No guest should have to sleep in conditions like thes
