While the hotel could benefit from some modernisation, this isn’t essential — and realistically, once that happens, prices will likely rise significantly. There really isn’t another hotel in the area that offers this level of value for money. I’ve now stayed here five times over six years, and for what I need, it’s perfect. Some complaints you see in other reviews feel unrealistic given the location. London is one of the most expensive cities in Europe, if not the world. If you want luxury at a higher standard, you should expect to pay considerably more. If you want excellent value in one of London’s most desirable neighbourhoods, this hotel is a fantastic choice."
