"I booked a waterfront-view room based on the photos shown with my reservation, which featured a beautifully updated and renovated room. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the room I was given was older and noticeably outdated (felt 1980s). The front desk acknowledged that the renovated room photos should not have been associated with that room type. I was very disappointed because the room I received did not match what was advertised. After speaking with the manager, they were able to upgrade me to the renovated room that was pictured in my booking, minus the king bed which I really appreciated. The renovated room was very nice and much more in line with what I had expected when making the reservation. It appears the hotel is renovating the property floor by floor, which is understandable, but I think this should be clearly and transparently communicated when guests are booking. The photos and room descriptions should accurately reflect the room guests will actually receive. Overall, once I moved to the renovated room, I had a much better experience. The renovated room was lovely, and the hotel restaurant was also very good. I hope the hotel updates its booking photos and descriptions so future guests know exactly what to expect."

"We thought that everything was great- location, staff, amenities which we did not use, cleanliness. The only thing that I found amusing was that when I needed a pen and paper which you can find in any low, moderately or expensive hotel, I found nothing. If a visitor needs a pen or paper, he/she should bring his/her own. $1000 a night will not buy you a pen or writing pad."
