Pathetic
I tried contacting host 1/2 hour prior to check in as no information had yet been provided. An hour later I receive a response after trying to contact through text and call, asking if I could text. I was then asked about which rental I was inquiring about, even though I had contacted via the app. After a series of questions, the host had apologized, saying they had bad service while coming down the mountain, even though it sounded like they were at a bar, judging from the background noise of the one call they finally answered. I was told that the property I had booked, and paid for, was unavailable, and if I wanted one of their other properties for an additional $100, to which I said no. After telling me that he could just swap out for my original booking if I accepted, I asked for the access code. 20 minutes later receive a text saying that he needed the difference, to which I replied that I wasn’t paying, just refund my money in full. All I got was a, “Sorry, not my call. I tried.” Huge inconvenience after having friend drive 4 hours down to stay for the weekend. So nonchalant and inconsiderate. Not communicative at all. Would NOT recommend.
