First off I just wanted to say that the staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The horrific night that I had staying at this hotel was not their fault. Well, maybe partially.
The guests in the room right next to ours were homeless, I believe. Or they were living out of the van and decided to get a hotel for a few nights. They blasted music and screamed at the top of their lungs until 4 o’clock in the morning.
The first time I tried to call the front desk at midnight. The young man working at the front desk told me that he could hear the loudness, and that he would contact the noisy guests.
However, the torturous noise continued on unabated. I tried making earplugs out of toilet paper and holding my pillow over my ears, until finally, I called the front desk again at around 2:00 AM. Once again, the young man at the desk who seemed to be in over his head, assured me that he would talk to the unruly neighbors about the excessive noise.
Not only did the noise not decrease , but it actually was the opposite. By this point, I had gotten no sleep whatsoever.
Finally, at 3:30 AM I walked upstairs to the front desk where I found another hotel guest who was complaining about the noise.
I told the hotel worker he needed to call the police. At which point he went to the unruly guests and threatened to call the police the noise finally stopped. The next day, the hotel, apologize to me, they refused to give me a refund. They said Expedia would not allow it.
