"Parking could be better"

"The night shift staff was awful. She was unkind throughout the check-in process. Around 11 pm, she called my room without any explanation, simply asking if she was coming up. She also failed to check my passport initially, only to request it very late at night. Additionally, although there was a lift to the first floor, she never mentioned it — I only found out the next morning from another staff member. I had two massive, heavy suitcases, and the night staff completely ignored this."

"The room was dirty the bathroom was dirty the sheets were dirty and there was a hole in the wall with a five alarm is and the AC did not work very well"

"Room was fine and, importantly, clean. A small fridge would have been good though. Small disappointment. Also,thr ice machine was on a different floor View was nice. Staff were super nice and the location felt safe and an easy walk to restaurants and the subway. Not many amenities but the vibe was fine. We'd stay again."

"Staff were very nice but the vibe was bad. Reception is behind a thick plexiglass screen. They open a slot to talk to you. Our room on ground floor amplified every sound in the lobby. At midnight someone started playing loud Indian music at reception. 630AM they were vacuuming. It was all loud. We didn't sleep well. One night out of 3 paid was enough and we checked out. They refused any refund. Policy, we understand but still. We won't be back. Not recommended, at all."

"Conveniently located Hotel a mere minutes from JFK. Comfortable and well equipped room. Typical breakfast items, not ideally suited to vegetarians. Welcome perk was the Airport Shuttle. Very suitable for short stays. One shortcoming was the lack of a room safe."

"We stayed at Doubletree for one night to take advantage of the proximity and airport shuttle for a very early morning flight. The property was a bit dated but the room was clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had no issues with the shuttle, which was right one time and quick to get us to our terminal. This may be the case with all the hotels in that area, but the external noise can be heard in the rooms so if you’re sensitive to noise, make sure to have some ear plugs handy."
