"Just returned from our family vacation and it was perfect. The house is as described in the listing - comfortable, clean, with everything you could want. There are several TVs throughout the house, a game room with pool table and video games, and a kitchen that had all you could ask for. The community pool was located a short drive from the house and was not overcrowded. The neighboring towns offered good shopping and a number of excellent restaurants. In the area were a number of very good playgrounds and a local animal farm that was perfect for our young grandkids.Communication with the host was excellent and the check-in and check-out process was seamless. If you are considering this home for your stay - GO FOR IT. You will not be disappointed."
"We had a family gathering with 21 people from ages of 1 month to 81 years, and the property provided absolutely everything we needed! The home and adjacent pavilion/pool was extremely clean and very useful and fun! The pizza oven is a must do and we were able to make 18 fantastic and delicious make your own pizzas one evening. The upstairs game room was especially fun and entertaining for our family. I can't say enough how responsive and caring the owners were with the lead up and time of our stay at Hudson Hideaway. My family will definitely be looking to spend time together at this "personal resort" in the near future. "

"This house is better (and larger) than it looks in the photos. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen and even the bathrooms are enviably renovated. We did have a minor issue, but the hosts handled it promptly and kindly. We'd definitely stay here again. Bonus points for a ton of fireflies and deer."

"Bassinova-on-Hudson is a gorgeous and well-kept property, and Jean and her staff are very responsive and welcoming. The home features everything a group could want in a secluded getaway - a gated, private entrance, 5 bedrooms, a game room with billiards table, a home theater, sonos throughout the house, a steam shower, and an enormous kitchen and outdoor grill.When I arrived with my wife and 19 month old, Kat gave us a quick tour of the house and explained how everything worked, and the basic rules of the property. When we first walked in we were greeted with an open sitting room with a high ceiling (and a four-wall, hand-painted mural), just off of the kitchen. The house is shoes-off at the door (for good reason!), and the layout is quick to understand. The grounds are well-maintained, and the view of the Hudson is jaw-dropping. My son was overjoyed each time we spotted a giant ship rolling down the river.If you're considering booking the property, don't hesitate. It's incredible."
"We loved our stay at this historic property with loads of character! The house was beautiful and had all the comforts we could want. The views of the river from the upper and lower porches were amazing! Very thoughtfully renovated kitchen and bathrooms with all necessities. We were in Coxsackie for a weeding at the Wire Event Center so the location of the house couldn't have been better. We loved walking around the town and riverfront and taking the short drives to Hudson and Catskill. We wish we had been able to see the nearby Olana House... maybe next time! Great stay, great communication with the host, everything was wonderful! "
