The hotel was not what I expected. It was not in a great area of Richmond with no drugstore or coffeeshops (that we found) around the hotel..everything we wanted to see was a cab ride ($20) away. The room was large but not any hooks in the bathroom except in the shower! And water went all over the floor while showering. BUT we loved Richmond and will be back. Just not at the Quirk.

We have been going to The Kingsmill since 2012. Great place but can be on the pricey side. Not just the room rates but the restaurants. Still a great place and the staff is phenomenal. The lazy river and beach area are great. They do charge a daily resort fee but was pleasantly surprised to learn that the non-motorized rentals were free for up to one hour each day. Ie the kayaks, paddle boards. etc. Many family memories made here.
