nice and close to amusement park

Pros: The staff.
Location: Centrally located to stores, restaurants and amusements.
From the time I walked into register till the time I left the staff was very pleasant. I have stayed may times at Hamptons and never had staff so accommodating. I could ask a question and they went out of their way to give me an answer. I would not hesitate staying there again.

The only observation was that the floors seemed "thin" and we could hear the guy above us walking around loudly. The hotel was clean and up to date. I thought it was good that they had a deal with the fitness center down the road if the hotel's center wasn't enough for equipment. The pool was large for a hotel too. There were lots of choices for breakfast from healthy to not so healthy.

Rented the room for one night based on corporate event. The water was not hot and the hotel staff was unaccommodating when told. Hotel was clean. Not enough lighting in parking lot to feel safe coming in late at night.

It snowed while we were in town. We had a rental car and no snow gear. The hotel staff was super accommodating by lending us an ice scraper whenever we needed and they did an excellent job with snow removal from their parking lot. We didn't get stuck once!

Great Hotel - Happy Campers

Posted 19-Feb-2016 on Hotels
We usually stay here when visiting family in the area, and have always had a great stay. Lovely rooms, good value for the money, good breakfast with decent options other than the gross instant oatmeal and donuts like many other "free breakfasts" at other hotels. This stay, we had an accessible room that was gigantic. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel. Bad staff.

My husband and I brought our kids here for a night over their school vacation, mainly because the hotel offered an indoor pool. The room was very nice, clean and offered many nice amenities like free wifi. The Belgian waffles at breakfast were also a hit. The kids really enjoyed the pool but when another guest pooped in the pool (while we were swimming!) the hotel staff was appalling. A security guard discretely spoke with the mother of the teen who did it (yes, a teenager) for about 20 minutes before another guest shouted to us that they had overheard what was going on. It was at least another 15 minutes after that before the hotel staff closed the pool during which time new guests were still coming in to swim and the staff said nothing to them! When we asked to speak with a manager about the lack of concern from hotel staff, one staff member responded "why? This happens all of the time and really isn't a big deal". Not one person apologized or made any attempt to shown concern for our experience or the guests'. All of this happened right before our planned check out and was a terrible ending to what had been a nice stay.
