The Relaxation Station

Enjoy absolutely stunning sunsets on the east side of Farlain Lake with your own private 50 foot waterfront and beach (note: depth of beach varies depending on time of year). Farlain Lake is a land locked lake with a rare natural sandy bottom, meaning you don't need to wade through muddy plant life when enjoying swim, kayak, or paddleboard ride. Situated on one of the shallowest gradients in the lake, my children have had worry free swimming off the dock their entire childhood. The east side location also provides amazing sunsets over rolling hills that many people have kept as screen savers for years. Surrounded by mature trees and a large deck, the cottage also offers shady greenspace for those looking for an escape from the sunshine.

Situated next to beautiful Penetanguishene, the cottage is an hour and a half drive from Toronto and 15 minutes away from a Grocery store & LCBO. Awenda Provincial park kisses the top of the Lake, providing access to hiking and offroad biking trails for the outdoor adventurer. Down the road from Georgian Bay, those with access to a boat can easily transport it and go for day travels around Lake Huron.

Cottage comes with ammenities including:
- Gas BBQ
- Bell Fiberoptic Wifi (550 mbps - perfect for distance learning, streaming, or video calls)
- Alexa & Firestick
- Firewood (& Firepit)
- Watercraft (kayak, paddleboard, floating mats)
- Television, Streaming Services, Chromecast, DVD player
- Ceiling fans in main bedrooms and living spaces (single AC unit for bedroom)
- Hammock
- Microwave, Stove, Espresso maker, cutlery & dishes - everything you need for meal prep

Those with a boat or jet ski are welcome to bring it along, cottage does not come with powered watercraft.

**Pet friendly (note: be cautious about keeping pets outdoors at night as the area occasionally has skunks)

We stayed for five weeks from the beginning of June to early July 2023. Alan's place was just wonderful. Whenever we had questions Alan was super prompt in responding - this makes such a difference for a VRBO stay. We loved the lakeside location, the enormous deck and the fire pit - a perfect month long vacation in a home away from home!

Cute and quiet
Very nice property. Alan is very pleasant to work with. Clean property. The steep outdoor steps were slippery in our mid-November stay. Right on the water. Very cute!

Tiny delivered in a big way!
We were all impressed with this location. It boasted a beautiful waterfront property with a large deck, dock and fire pit area. The ‘cottage’ had upscale amenities and a cozy fireplace. Our interactions with the owner was very pleasant. We recommend this rental and hope to return. Five star rating - Thanks Alan!

Great stay!
I want to thank Alan for accommodating my request to vacation at his property during a requested week. My family and I truly appreciate it! Our stay was absolutely great - all of us enjoyed different aspects of the property - huge hammock; pit fire at night; bbq meals and swimming in the lake. I was shocked as to how clean Farlain Lake water actually is. The listing could you a few more photos of the property and what it offers because it has everything you could possibly want. There's a good chance we would want to return to this property sometime in the fall.

Nice lake!
Overall the cottage and lake were a great experience. The house was clean and being able to use the various items added to the experience (board games, kayak, paddle board, life jackets) really added value to our stay! Only draw back was that one of the sleeping areas was outside the main house - beside the parking area. This could have been better advertised. Communication with Alan was top notch!
