"Great location with easy access to Whiteface, Lake Placid, hiking. View from the deck to the Ausable River is lovely; peaceful, great place to read or relax. Though there is a dock, access to the river is tricky if you plan to launch a kayak or canoe. Kitchen is well equipped; deck and yard are large. Beds very comfortable. The property is a bit overgrown. House smaller than expected from the website photos. The gazebo/screened porch were not useable; needs a good cleaning and some repair as does the front porch. Overall though, a pleasant place to stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Cascade Mountain Chalet. The king beds and couch were comfy. The kitchen had all the gadgets and cookware you would need with a commercial size gas range. Our favorite was the hot tub after a day of hiking. Judi was an attentive host and made us feel welcome and was accessible if we needed her. Nice side yard to play in and walk the dog. We enjoyed the attractions nearby and had a great meal at a host recommended restaurant nearby."

"The Barn is my new favorite place on VRBO. The interior and the exterior were beautifully maintained and the hosts even set a campfire for us. It's a recent build that still smells of fresh pine and the kitchenware, towels and bedding were all top level. We visited the Olympic sites close by and the town of Lake Placid was just a short drive away. Communication was excellent and it was a fabulous week!"
