This is an absolutely beautiful and perfect place for a vacation! The property is located next to so many cool places, but the house itself offers all a family would need to rest and relax and have a great time doing it! Thank you for allowing my family to enjoy this space. We hope to come back!
We were looking for a nice rustic cabin to spend the holidays and this was perfect. The home is on a nice quiet street. It’s also about 10-15 minutes away from Whiteface- perfect for ski days. The host was helpful/responsive and allowed us to bring our dog. The hot tub and sauna were great amenities to enjoy. Thank you for a great experience.
We booked this trip back in January for 4th of July and had such a fun time. There was plenty of room for the 5 adults and 3 kids that went. The playground was perfect for the little ones when we were not out exploring the Adirondacks. We would definitely stay again if we went back to the area! Had a wonderful time from start to finish!
We stayed here to watch the total solar eclipse. It was the perfect spot! We kept entertained during the day between the game room and hot tub and all sat out on the back deck to watch the sky. We took a day trip into Lake Placid one day. (Note: there are only 3 bedrooms with doors. I thought both bunks were in private rooms but one was in the open downstairs space. Not a big issue with teens, but good to know for future). Only real disappointment was that the sauna didn’t work while we were there.

Nice but need updates
The house need deep cleaning.... ....in the bathroom there was hair on body wash bottles i have to clean the bathroomto take shower... kitchen nothing better all dishes utensil everything was dirty so we were using plastics... and they didn't even have a wine glass!!! other then that we like the house we have good time and kids love the house too!!! There is alot of space for everyone and nice play room !!! Thank you anyway
Treehouse was PERFECT for our family get together!
When we drove up to the property my husband was very impressed by the rustic log home and beautiful grounds that greeted us. The host’s Tree/Skihouse had everything we needed for a family gathering of 4 adults and 4 kiddos. There were plenty of beds, bedding, and sleeping areas for all. The game room, actually a separate building, was a big hit with air hockey and ping-pong tournaments happening on the rainy days when we couldn’t get out Into the woods and explore. On the sunny days the kids played “fairies and wizards” for hours in the backyard treehouse playground and spacious yard. The fire pit was used for s’mores nearly every night, even when we had to use umbrellas, so thoughtful of the host, when a rain shower passed through! We found lots of places in nearby Wilmington with reasonably priced camp wood for sale. We also spent time at the nearby Wilmington swim beach where the kids had a blast in the water and on the sand. Not many places I know with a beach in the forest and mountains. The nearby Flume Falls were spectacular and free to access, unlike High Gorge Falls. My only suggestion would be to stock up on groceries and necessities before arriving. We really enjoyed this bit of paradise deep in the woods of the Adirondacks. Thank you for a memorable stay.
We had a great time. The house was very clean and organized and had everything we needed. Mancy was great to work with and made the whole experience very easy.
Beautiful large house with romantic small cabin feel
This house is very clean and spacious. The tree house and swings are great for kids. The hot tub is great for adults. Awesome to be off the beaten path in quiet neighborhood with 2 friendly neighbors nearby. Everything updated and clean, beds and linens very comfortable. We would most definitely stay here again!!
Excellent place to stay for our family trip. The house was equipped with everything we needed and was able to accommodate our large party really well.
We were close to many trails to go snow shoeing. 15 minutes away from Whiteface for skiing, and 30 minutes away from Lake Placid for shopping and ice skating. The hot tub and sauna were the perfect way to relax after each of our days outdoors.
We would absolutely stay here again.
If you're looking for comfort and convenience in a wilderness setting with several friends or family, this is the place. The location is prime Adirondacks - an easy drive to Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain and High Falls Gorge. Two large wide-open living spaces provided room for kids to play while adults lounge. The huge deck, treehouse, and fire pit made it a most enjoyable early fall escape.
We were two families with teens ready to experience the great outdoors during the day. The location was perfect. Everywhere we wanted to go was a 30 minute drive. We were delighted to come home each night and cook, eat at the large table, and then retreat to the awesome fire pit out back. Would definitely recommend to others with groups like ours looking to get away.
Excellent communication with the property manager and quick, thorough responses. Our family with 3 teens especially enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. Plenty necessities and kitchen basics available if needed.
Beautiful property, clean bedding and bathrooms, oven was dirty and smoked when we first used it. Heating baseboards were dirty and the one in the upstairs living room did not work. Very nice place but could use some TLC.
The house was amazing. We were disappointed that hot tub was not working but game room was a nice surprise and the kids and adults loved it. The mattresses are amazing. We loved the rustic look of the house. There are so many wonderful details in the decorations and furnishings. The neighborhood was quiet and felt like an escape. It was centrally located to many activities. We highly recommended this house. Thank you for having this wonderful house to rent.
Property is great with a hot tub and newly installed sauna. Once off the main road it takes 8 minutes to get to the house. 15 minutes from White Face and 30-40 minutes to Lake Placid. Road back from Lake Placid can get a little dicey at night. I would love to visit this property in summer. They have kayaks and canoes available for you to use. Highly recommend.
This was a really nice place and a quiet location. The place was very clean as well. Our kids all enjoyed their stay as well. The owners answered all our questions promptly.
The house was as described. The only negative thing I could possibly say is that it could have been a bit cleaner. The beds were comfortable, sitting outside on the deck was relaxing, and there was so much to do close by. Overall I would stay here again.
We had 4 adults and 4 kids staying for a week. The property was amazing and we enjoyed every minute. The owners were great with communication and answered questions in a very timely manner. We had a great time.
We loved this location and property! There is a ton to do within 15-30 minutes. A favorite that we found was Flume falls (the parking lot on the left if coming from “home” in the cabin). The adults relaxed with coolers on the rocks in the river and the kids (and adults!) enjoyed some epic cliff-jumping. We climbed Giant and Whiteface mountains. We visited the Olympic sites in Lake Placid. Lake Eaton is very nice and we enjoyed a sunset there and watched a beaver swim all around! We kayaked there too and the kids liked the playground.
The only thing I’d mention as a consideration is that if you use the pull-outs for sleep (with a bigger group) there’s not a great indoor area to comfortably hang out. This would be especially important in bad/cold weather when you can’t enjoy the huge outdoor deck.
Oh- and we also enjoyed the hot tub and the swing set and play fort were in great condition! The outdoor furniture is all very nice.
We would love to come back to Jay and would consider staying in this same house. The owners were also very helpful and responsive throughout.
Enjoyed a nice week at the house rental in a quiet HOA in Jay NY. You're about 15min in any direction to a lot of stores and restaurants and nothing within 15 minutes. Great spot for those looking for quietness
