Spectacular views of Mirror Lake, the ADK Mtns. and Main St. in Lake Placid. Within a short walk or drive to lots of shops, restaurants and Olympic venues. Cameron and Bethany were great when checking in and out of the Crowne Placid.
The room was clean and comfortable but our view was lousy. Only three rooms are affected by the roof of the carport and ours was one of them. When you look out the window all we saw was the carport roof and the tops of a couple of trees. I would still stay there again. If the management reads this ...
The staff was very service oriented. Always one step ahead of the needs. On the night before a very early checkout we exchanged a few notes about our experience and what to do next time we are in town. Very friendly. As I returned to my room we were called, asking us if we would like a wake-up call. ...
The only negative is that we were given a first floor handicap accessible room with a shower that was very difficult. The reason given was that we booked through Expedia and that was why we got an inferior room. Other than that it was a well located and clean. No view because of the first floor.
Warm, comfortable and the staff could not do enough for you. Would love to go back. Plenty of breakfast. More like staying with friends than paying to stay in a lodge. Breathtaking views. You must visit!
We were up hiking so we spent very little time in the room, but everything was clean and comfortable., We had everything we needed. The owners were great helping with questions about the area. Will definitely stay there again.
Room rate was very reasonable! Stayed 2 days, room was very clean. They have remodeled their rooms. Air conditioner was the only thing not working well. Will definitely stay there again. All restaurants and shops within walking distance!!
It’s a very nice hotel, pet friendly and great staff! It’s a little old and needs a little TLC. It’s in a great location right in the center of everything! The staff are wonderful and provided great service to their guests. I personally go there every year with my dad and my dog Angus and will continue ...
There’s no better place to ski your days away than Lake Placid, NY.
Lake Placid is located in the Adirondack Mountains, which are home to some of the best skiing in the world.
Whether you’re new to the sport or have skied most of your life, you’ll find a slope to your liking at Mount Whiteface. This mountain offers the real deal; it hosts a number of alpine skiing events and championships each year . The mountain provides over 70 trails and 11 lifts, as well as a milder slope popular with children and families. If you truly want to ski all day, every day, and into the night, head for the Mt. Pisgah Ski Area. Located just 18 km west of Lake Placid, the Mt. Pisgah Ski Area offers a range of fully lit trails, meaning you get to carve up the slopes even after the sun goes down.
Ready to take off your skis? Lake Placid is still a paradise for those who love winter sports. Go ice skating or play hockey on Mirror Lake. Try snowshoeing along the many trails by the village or beside Lake Placid—you can often rent snowshoes from your hotel or from the shops on Main Street. Some of the Lake Placid ski resorts even offer their own trails for you to explore.
One thing you won’t need to explore is how to book the perfect accommodation for your trip. Expedia.ca will help you find a cheap hotel in Lake Placid so you can keep more money in your savings account instead of shelling it out for your lodgings. Spend that money on something fun instead, like another day trip to Mt. Pisgah.
