We travel to Lake Placid often in our attempt to climb all 46 high peaks and this is my favorite hotel. I have stayed here often. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the location fabulous, and the restaurant and bar are great!! The only problem is with the cleaning staff. This is the second time ...

There’s no better place to ski your days away than Lake Placid, NY.
Lake Placid is located in the Adirondack Mountains, which are home to some of the best skiing in the world.
Whether you’re new to the sport or have skied most of your life, you’ll find a slope to your liking at Mount Whiteface. This mountain offers the real deal; it hosts a number of alpine skiing events and championships each year . The mountain provides over 70 trails and 11 lifts, as well as a milder slope popular with children and families. If you truly want to ski all day, every day, and into the night, head for the Mt. Pisgah Ski Area. Located just 18 km west of Lake Placid, the Mt. Pisgah Ski Area offers a range of fully lit trails, meaning you get to carve up the slopes even after the sun goes down.
Ready to take off your skis? Lake Placid is still a paradise for those who love winter sports. Go ice skating or play hockey on Mirror Lake. Try snowshoeing along the many trails by the village or beside Lake Placid—you can often rent snowshoes from your hotel or from the shops on Main Street. Some of the Lake Placid ski resorts even offer their own trails for you to explore.
One thing you won’t need to explore is how to book the perfect accommodation for your trip. Expedia.ca will help you find a cheap hotel in Lake Placid so you can keep more money in your savings account instead of shelling it out for your lodgings. Spend that money on something fun instead, like another day trip to Mt. Pisgah.
