"One night stay - traveling further afield. Rating this hotel a 5 star. The hotel is older and could possibly enjoy some refurbishment, however those 2 things did not hinder my stay in the least. The front desk staff was welcoming, friendly, very kind. Initially I was given a room on the 2nd floor, but that required climbing stairs with heavy items (e.g. cooler with food). I enquired about availability on the lower floor and was graciously accommodated. The room, though a tad worn as mentioned, was very clean. The beds were so comfy with extra blankets available if needed. The shower was great with plenty of hot water and good pressure. I did not hear a sound from other rooms, nor did I hear noises from the busy road next to the hotel. There was an area to.enjoy a bbq and play corn hole or just to sit and enjoy the outside. Breakfast was basic, but adequate. I did not use the pool, but it looked inviting. I would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you to the front desk staff & housekeeping!"

"The outdoor pool was closed for the first three days that we were there. It was unfortunate and I would have thought the hotel would have offered some sort of concession for that inconvenience. The hotel is great, but you are paying for all of the amenities and when one of the major attractions of the hotel isn't available I would think there would be some acknowledgement on the part of the hotel."

"My husband and I stayed here in September 2026 to celebrate our anniversary, and it was wonderful from start to finish. The property was spotless throughout, and the room was lovely with an incredibly comfortable bed — we slept great every night. The pool was a real highlight too — very clean and nicely heated, perfect for relaxing during our stay. The restaurant overlooking the water was another highlight of the trip. The food was fantastic, and the view made every meal feel special. We also treated ourselves to the Sunday morning brunch buffet, which was incredible — an amazing spread with everything you could imagine, all beautifully done. Just a heads up, breakfast wasn't included in our package, so this was a separate treat, but well worth it. The nicest surprise was arriving to find the hotel had left us a piece of chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary — such a thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely welcomed. Highly recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway or special occasion!"
