Shannon Heights B&B

"One of the few properties I’ve stayed at that actually matched most of the reviews. This B&B is a two-storey building, with the host living upstairs and the guests staying on the lower level. There are three guest rooms on that floor, each with a private bathroom and access to a shared kitchen. Upon our arrival, the host, Elizabeth, provided clear instructions regarding check-in and parking. The view from the terrace on the guest floor is exactly as shown in the pictures, with an unobstructed view of Mission Hill and Okanagan Lake. Our room and bathroom were clean, spacious, and comfortable. There are also a couple of tables on the terrace where you can enjoy meals and drinks while taking in the excellent view. Breakfast was good, with scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruits, and a few other items. The only minor drawback is that noise from the shared kitchen can be heard quite clearly in the rooms whenever someone is using it. Fortunately, our neighbours were never too early or too late, so this wasn’t really an issue during our stay. Overall, a very pleasant stay and a B&B I would happily recommend."

"If you’re wanting a Genuine Bed and Breakfast Experience this is the place for you. You’re greeted by the host upon arrival and feel welcomed into their home immediately. The rooms are large and very clean. You can tell they have taken time to perfect this experience thinking of everything you would need as a guest. The breakfast could easily be served at a 5-star restaurant with lots of homemade items and ingredients, this is not your standard Bacon and Eggs but very well thought-out, balanced dishes. If you have never had a B&B experience then you should try this one and set the bar for all the others you experience. We will be back again and again for years to come."

"The accommodation was comfortable and decently appointed. The balcony gives good views of Okanagan Lake and Mission Hill winery. The amenities in the facility were great! Pool, hot tub, pool table and much more. The key fob thing was a bit challenging at times. You can’t go anywhere on the property without them, but better safe than sorry. Ruslana (the host) was very prompt in responding to my inquiries and was quite helpful. Quail’s Gate and Mission Hill wineries are just a few minutes away. Also, Paynter’s produce and farm is close by. Great produce there and a ton of pumpkins and flowers for us to enjoy. Only minor negative for us was that there was no TV channels that we could access in the suite. There was NETFLIX and Amazon Prime but no regular TV channels. For a sports guy I had to go to the lounge in the amenity centre to watch a football game. Not terrible, but if there was one slight improvement to suggest, that would be it."

"As with previous guests we found the location excellent for wine tastings in the area. The space was clean and tidy. Although a little dated it was great value for the price. Definitely some noise from the tennents above however not a problem in the later evening hours. Overall a positive experience would rent this space again"
