"The location was excellent with a view of the Manhattan skyline and the marina. Area was quiet and there were two restaurants in the marina. Jay was always available, even on Friday night, to answer my questions. It was like being in an apartment, not a hotel, but had hotel luxuries. Easy access to New York City with the ferry within walking distance. Plan on staying again."

Hubby and I stayed at this hotel while we toured New York City. The location couldn't gave been more perfect. Far enough from the constant hustle and bustle of the city yet close enough to see whatever you want. The hotel is tucked into a nice residential area just off the highway that will give you great access to anywhere on Staten Island. The room seems clean, the bed sheets were very clean but there was an odd smell was coming from somewhere on the first day, l couldn’t figured out, slowly disappeared by the 3rd night.
I am guessing they used unclean vacuum cleaner or something l am just guessing

I often don't leave reviews for stays but this hotel was actually really amazing. Everyone is happy and eager to help. I couldn't really find a single flaw about this hotel and its services. Looking forward to staying at bigger rooms in the future!

My son and I were “stuck” in NYC for 2 nights due to the global internet fiasco. With literally no reasonably priced rooms with more than 1 bed, I used filters to drill down and found Pod. What a cool place!!! The location could not be better for the walking tourist, and the concept is genius. What a fantastic use of space and a focus on cleanliness. If I ever find myself in NYC, I won’t be looking for a place to stay, I’ll be staying at Pod.

Easily walkable to/from Penn Station, Times Square etc. Staff were great, friendly and always willing to help. My only minor issue was the hotel is on a street that did not LOOK all that safe, it was dark and had some sketchy looking individuals. However I do want to stress that at no point was I worried something might occur, just be aware that it appears to look scarier than it is. We are spending another night in NYC after our cruise and I was hoping to stay here again, but unfortunately...
