The Birdhouse features a 6 ft skylight above the bedroom, an ode to the awe-inspiring skies of the Meeker Hollow, one of the best spots for stargazing in NY state, and an 11ft-tall window wall in the living space, framing the sprawling, lush landscape.

The Birdhouse is a camp-like experience, it features an outdoor rustic shade structure, Adirondack chairs, a private fire pit, grill and cooler. Guests have access to the outdoor shower and assigned composting toilet / outhouse. The cabin is off the grid (no power or running water), we provide solar lights and battery-powered lanterns to try and keep the light pollution in the stargazing field at a minimum. Fresh drinking water and a hand washing station is available.

The kitchenette includes a single burner propane camping stove, tea kettle, paper plates, cups, cutlery, coffee, tea, and sugar .

A sprawling wildflower field with trails and pathways, maple forest and stream, and a brand new yoga deck shared with our other guests.

Our property is bordering State land, you are free to hike and explore the miles and miles of forest surrounding the tipi.

Private sauna session available by appointment - $25/person/hour.

You are likely to find us in the garden or at the farmhouse, you can also reach us by phone if we are not on the property.

The town of Roxbury is located a short drive from Bellfire, we have a little bit of everything in our town, two eateries, a wine a liquor store with a great selection, a gift store, and two art galleries. Bike rentals in town.

Only accessible by car, free parking on premisses.

Cell service is spotty around these parts. Wifi access is available from the parking lot or around the farmhouse. There is a picnic table in the backyard that you are welcome to use to check your mail or load maps.

Your camp is located in natural wildlife habitat. Bugs and critters make up our natural ecosystem and come with the territory. None of our sites are ideal for insect-phobic guests. We do everything possible to keep them outside, by thoroughly cleaning the space between guests, but some inevitably still wander in.

- Please take your shoes off while inside the cabin.
- No smoking is allowed inside the dwellings
- Your stay is limited to the guests on the reservation, no day or overnight visitors are allowed.
- Please follow camping rules while staying at Bellfire: no littering, do not leave fires unattended, put away food or left overs and of trash and left overs in the designated bins.
- Never leave garbage bags outside of the bins
