"Close to Termini Station"
Hotel Maryelen was a great place to stay in terms of location - close to Termini Station, and walking distance of most attractions in Rome (The Roman Forum, Colosseum). I chose to walk everywhere, and the only place that I took the metro was to the Vatican. The rooms are very small (I stayed in a single room by myself), and so was the toilet, but you hardly need to stay in your hotel room when you have the whole of Rome to explore! The hotel was kind enough to give me a map, highlighting most of Rome's tourist attractions, and to give me an umbrella when it started to rain. They will also hold your baggage if your flight or train is well after check out time. My bed was a little harder than what I was used to, and breakfast is your typical Italian style breakfast - usually some cured meat, cheese, bread, and a sweet pastry, as well as a cup of coffee. The walls are also a little thin, so you can hear your neighbours going to the bathroom sometimes, and you can hear people outside your corridor. However, the staff are friendly, and always welcoming.

"Beautiful hotel "
Furniture in the bedroom was a little tired but the main reception rooms / paintings were amazing! Shuttle to the train station and town was excellent but not available in the 5 hours after midday. Plenty of places to chill out inside the hotel but lacked an outdoor sitting area, chairs just being arranged on the lawn.

"Great hotel, close to everything"
I booked this hotel super last minute and was pleasantly surprised at the value, the location and size of the rooms. Big enough for 3 people, super clean and located right on Via Nazionale - a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum and Trevi. Breakfast was was not included, it comes at cost and it was kind of blah. Other than the breakfast - the hotel is perfect for a few days in Rome.

This is a very nice hotel but for the price free internet and a coffee machine should have been available in the rooms.

"Great, spacious apartment with POOL"
My girlfriend and I chose this apartment to have the convenience of a kitchen and a pool (seeing as our visit was at the end of June) and it appeared good value. The apartment was a fantastic size, with spacious balcony and bathroom and kitchen were very clean and good quality appliances. The hotel itself had no flaws and we couldn't have been happier. The only issue is that you feel a little out of town... BUT the train station is right on your doorstep. The "tobachi" next door sells train + metro tickets at €1.50 and it takes about 15 mins to pop up at most central sites. Alternatively, a bus takes you straight to Vatican (although we never actually took this). Rest assured, we had a couple of later nights in the city after dinner and a taxi home was around €15. Finally, one of the best meals we had was actually in the restaurant right next door to the hotel which we went to after a particularly long touristy day! Would recommend this apartment if you want somewhere to relax as well as do site seeing. Perhaps better for those staying a week rather than weekend getaway.

"Rental apartment in the suburbs"
This place is 5 metro stops from the Colloseum and about 7 from the central train station. It is basically a rented apartment of 3 rooms - you rent one of the rooms, which includes a bedroom 'space' and kitchenette area plus bathroom. The good part is that you get a taste of suburban life but it is a metro ride away from the tourist attractions (€1.50 / 20mins each time).

"Nice BnB, Close to center of Rome. Quiet."
Young couple which were very impressed by the quality of the room for the price. It was a very central location, close to the metro and within walking distance of all the major attractions.

"Great location for sightseeing & relaxation"
Stayed 5 nights in August. All the staff were helpful at all times and twice I had to call reception for towels and I thought the hairdryer didn't work and both times someone appeared in under 5 minutes. Getting a taxi was also really quick. The room was quite small and a bit dated and I was glad I took earplugs as the sound-proofing isn't great. The pool was lovely and there were plenty of beds but there were far too many people smoking and I feel that smoking should be in a restricted area as the beds are pretty close together. I think this was mainly the locals but it is quite unpleasant. We walked into the centre several times which took under 30 mins and all downhill. There are loads of bars and restaurants at the bottom of the hill and it is is a short walk back and there is a taxi rank by the river if you are tired from sightseeing. I would stay here again when it's pool weather.
