Me and my sister took our kids here for her 30th birthday. The staff members are so nice and helpful . The family activities that they offered daily really made it feel like a great family vacation.

Rooms AC wasn’t working, called to get it fixed and nothing was done. Rooms stayed hot through the night which was very uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. beach was filled with rocks instead of sand which was limited and closed off. Also, the rooms including furniture and bathroom area was very outdated, definitely don’t recommend if you are used to nice all-inclusive resorts.

the entire place is nice, the pople, the only issue the morning coffe, no coffe, so wil be amazing to have coffe on the front desk available for early people who want to enjoy a cup of cofee on the beach.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Service is so horrible, air conditioning in rooms doesn’t work, refuse to fix things, won’t accommodate for anyone. There were multiple multiple complaints by many guests. The final straw was when they refused to put new plates out for the buffet because it was 10:20am and they were closing at 10:30am. Such a shame- never had this horrible experience in Mexico.

We overall really enjoyed the Catalonia Yucatan/ Rivera Maya Resort. This was our (20s couple) 3rd time in Cancun, and this was by far our favorite resort yet. The food was satisfyingly good for most meals. Everything seemed freshly prepared and the ingredients were of high quality. Other reviews mentioned outdated amenities/ rooms, but that was never an opinion we shared. The activities were plentiful and fun. The shows seemed cheesy at previous resorts, but here it was obvious that effort was spent to make them enjoyable for both kids and adults. All staff were friendly, a little tipping went a long way but at no point did it feel necessary. Also, the ocean and beach felt so “alive”, and snorkling was available at no cost which was so fun to see corals, fish, and other creatures. As for the parts we didnt love, the breakfast was lacking in options and was a bit disappointing, but the snack bar was open at 10:30 so we didnt have to go long hungry. Overall, very nice resort. Would recommend

This resort should be rated more accurately as a 3-star resort. The rooms were very dated, and the one I stayed in was very musty and likely had mold. Food and beverages were average, as you’d expect at a 3-star resort. Service was good, but nothing to rave home about. I tried both A la carte restaurants, which was a pain to reserve - the Mexican place had delicious food but subpar inattentive service, while the food at the Italian restaurant was very bland. The property has a nice layout and good facilities, but as this was a quick last minute vacation, overall I wouldn’t return nor recommend.

There was constant loud construction very near our room, my husband got food poisoning from the buffet, the staff was rude, and overall just a terrible resort. The only way the staff would serve you was if you yelled at them over everyone else waiting to be served. Was usually barely acknowledged at the bars and the buffet. While people around us were being served. The very first drink I tried to get (a few hours after getting to the resort and having a poor check-in experience), I swam up to the bar, the server acknowledged me and as I went to order, someone started screaming at the bartender so he went and took their order first. He took 20 mins dealing with their party, then came back to me and said ‘sorry the bar closed 1 minute ago. You’ll have to go elsewhere.’ Believe it or not, it only went downhill from there. There was a service corridor just outside our room where there was constant noise and construction. One day they spent 30 minutes throwing bags of glasses and cans on top of other bags of glasses and cans in the back of the truck. Imagine the noise of a bag of glass landing on glass?! Multiple times when we went to the buffet (including the first time) we went through our entire meal without even receiving water from a server, despite the entire section around us being served. They also did not acknowledge this was our honeymoon, which is fine. I wasn’t expecting anything crazy, but maybe a ‘congrats’ instead of charging me $45 USD for 6 chocolate strawberries

Nothing was as advertised. Couldn’t access half of the restaurants. Wasn’t advised one of the two buffets was closed for construction. The noise was horrible at two of the pools because of it. Worst food I’ve ever had at every restaurant option available.

The rooms are very outdated. It is a shame to put guests in rooms with moldy mattresses, the bathroom door literally peeling off, with dirty/moldy corners. The hotel needs renovation. The food and drinks were excellent. Housekeeping would clean rooms every day. The beach has rocks in the water-a lot, can’t walk in there. Staff, servers and bartenders, are outstanding. This hotel is part of the gated community, so it’s pretty around it.

I paid for All Inclusive but was told NO on several occasions concerning food drinks. When I asked how much to pay so I could enjoy this vacation. They just said no. The staff was awesome with exception of a few. The experience was horrible cause thinking I paid for All Inclusive and finding out it wasn’t and also not being accommodated eventhough I offered to pay for it. All I heard was no. No explanation as to why. I will not ever come back to this place nor will I recommend it. Don’t Advertise ALL INCLUSIVE, take the customers money and they are stuck in a horrible situation. Not fun at all.
