"Pool view, recent renovations, nice studio equiped kitchette. Large screen tv in sleeping area with bedside charging options. Remote fan, remote tv and a/c. Common area views. Back parking lot allows parking directly in front of the building. Unit had a breeze at night and balcony provides a teak bistro set and nice hammock. What it lacks in dressers or closets it gains in its cooler elevation and central location in town allowing easy access to all sides of Hilo town. Unit is in an older complex but new renovations, pool, and lots of back lot parking make it a winner."

"We had a bit of unfortunate timing with our trip, but the owner was very responsive and helpful throughout the process - the unit was clean and had easy parking and was centrally located to all of our kids tournament events, it is a great location and peaceful. "The house is decorated very cute and was loaded with thoughtful details to have everything you need to enjoy your stay. The snorkle gear needed to be cleaned, but there were towels, first aid kits, sewing kit, even bug spray and sunscreen! The kitchen had everything we needed, since we cooked most of our meals there and the grill worked well and was clean. The bedrooms have a wall unit air conditioner, but two of them automatically turned off after a short time, so it was tough to stay comfortable, especially over night, when you aren't able to go over and press the button to restart them. (Possibly user error?) The living room, kitchen and bathroom have no AC. Although we wanted to sit together to eat or watch TV for a few hours, it was so hot that everyone ended up sitting on their beds near the AC units. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. If you are using this as base camp to sleep and not spending time in the house, it works well. It isn't a comfortable place to hang out in if you aren't used to the high temps with extremely high humidity. The driveway is extremely steep, but there is also street parking if you are afraid to drive down. The host was responsive and helpful - great communication!"

"Our family enjoyed our stay at the Charming Hilo House. We were here only for 3 days and the house was centrally located to the shopping mall, market, and all the places we needed to be for our 2-day family events.The owner‘s brother greeted us when we arrived, and we chatted for a while. From the outside you couldn’t tell, but once you were inside, the home was very spacious, clean, and accommodated our family of 8 adults, 1 child & 2 infants. Love the large living room (A on Roku), kitchen/dining area and the 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms met all our needs. No air conditioning, but that was okay as the fans help and the coqui frogs also help put us to sleep. Love the fact that you had checked-out instructions, but what suggest you get new hampers. We certainly enjoyed our weekend at your Charming Hilo home!"
