The hotel had a great location in the heart of the city.
The hotel and rooms were very clean although they were dated which which was a little bit of a surprise for a Westin. The bed and bedding were great which was most important.
On the disappointing side, the outdoor spa wasn't working and the paid parking had no in and out privileges.
The staff was attentive and even brought us a microwave for our room.
Overall, it was a good stay and I would recommend this hotel.
Property is reported as renovated/refreshed/refurbished. The pool area was being renovated during our stay but not active. Rooms clean but tired: ceilings still have popcorn. Beds and pillows very nice. Bathroom is spacious. I felt it was a good value for $99 plus tax for our stay. Walking distance to Old Pasadena and Norton Simon museum.
Two night stay, first night, lively gathering watering hole in the lobby (not sure if it was a private affair, but guest were semi-formal attire). Unfortunately, I was woken at about 5 am by music coming from convention center, I thought it might be an all night rave that I slept through, apparently it was a youth bootcamps of some sort. By 7am there were teen boy yelling, stretching & doing sprints in the alley adjacent to the hotel and Convention center.
The hotel management had no knowledge, and are not responsible for the events at the center, so they were not able to give me any information at 6am when I called the front dest for information. The next night was fine.
So guests beware: FIND OUT WHAT IS HAPPENING AT THE CONVENTION CENTER BEFORE YOU BOOK YOUR ROOM. I was on the 2nd floor, in the wing numbered 201-235 (approximately),
We have stayed here before many years ago. It provides the basics and a decent breakfast, although have had better coffee. The room had a refrigerator, and you are welcome to use the microwave in the lobby to heat up food. Walking distance to Vons and a drugstore. Overall, this was a bargain. The room was fairly large.
Check in was quick and easy! The customer service and hotel staff were polite and provided great service! I was there for a quick 2 day stay for business and I felt comfortable away from home and enjoyed my stay. The hotel was very up to date in a contemporary style setting. Nice safe location. The location was great surrounded by restaurants and close to the freeway. The cookies was hard but I didn't need them anyway. The room decor was great. The only thing I didn't like was that the mattress moves very easily but it was comfortable. I would stay here again. As a matter of fact I will be booking here again soon this time bringing my wife and kid.
Pasadena sees life through rose-colored glasses each New Year. The city hosts the annual Tournament of Roses Parade, along with the Rose Bowl Game college football championship. Pasadena also tends its roots at The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. Aside from its original Gutenberg Bible and Canterbury Tales, the institution is regarded for its 120 acres of gardens.
