The rooms are nice clean with comfortable bedding. Yes the elevetors do make a loud ding so stay away from the rooms near them. I stayed on the 7th floor facing mentor st. So it was quiet.
Just some info below, might help someone-
I was on a long trip for 10 days staying and visiting different parts of LA so was looking for laundry facilities and they do not have any laundry facilities onsite but just provide laundry services and cost is pretty high. Unit price for 1 underwear $4 and imagine the total cost for a family of 4-5 with 5-6 days worth of laundry. There is no pool as well. Building exterior is not appealing and one side of it is demolished and probably being constructed for something. The place is a historical building of 1926. They have done a good job of the interiors and completely revamped so inside is nice. Be advised no self parking and only valet. $23 per night.
Overall I would give slight lower rating for the hotel ameneties but the rest was great.

We needed an economy stay. The cost was a little more than what we would have liked, by comparison around the area, it fit the bill. The place seemed a little rag-tag, although with a nice wood floor. The the front desk clerk was nice, the room clean and comfortable, bathroom clean, and breakfast was more decent than expected. The location was close to where we needed to be, close to shopping, and wonderful staff let us in a little earlier than expected.
Pasadena sees life through rose-colored glasses each New Year. The city hosts the annual Tournament of Roses Parade, along with the Rose Bowl Game college football championship. Pasadena also tends its roots at The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. Aside from its original Gutenberg Bible and Canterbury Tales, the institution is regarded for its 120 acres of gardens.
